  1. Since both get their power from their weapon, I'm going to have to say He-Man because a sword is deadlier in my mind than a hammer. I'd rather see Thor win, but I think He-Man takes this one, but not before getting slammed by Mjolnir plenty of times!

  2. Scenario 1: Thor diverts He-Man's magic transformation lightning(being the god of thunder and all) into Mjolnir. Prince Adam gets bashed into the ground and Asgard has a nice new green tiger rug.

Scenario 2: Loki and Skeletor team up to halt both Prince Adam's and Donald Blake's transformations, resulting in a knockdown drag out fight between a lazy(yet ripped) Eternian prince and a physician from Earth with a bad leg.

  3. Scenario 3: Both blonde bruisers complete their transformations and after many hours of fighting and collateral damage (conveniently packed into a 30-minute episode) He-Man takes Thor down thanks to the Sword of Power's superior reach over that of the enchanted, but still short-handled Mjolnir. He-Man allows Thor to live, but as he lectures an unseen audience about how fighting never solves anything, Thor wakes up, calls Mjolnir to him and He-Man learns that having "the power" doesn't protect you from war hammer strikes to the back of the head.

  4. I'm going to vote for Thor because he has great hair, and He-man wears purple tights and pink vest and that sort of creeps me out.

  5. As much as I love He-Man, he's no match for the god of thunder. He-Man's sword may be deadlier than Thor's hammer, but he never uses it in a fight (unless he's deflecting laser blasts).

After He-man tosses a few boulders at his opponent (since he never uses his fists), Thor ascends into the sky and summons a lightning bolt striking He-Man down and simultaneously transforming him back into an unconscious Prince Adam.

  6. First off, I'm coming at these battles from the standpoint of each character being represented by their coolest incarnations. It's no fair to put the Avengers from the new blockbuster movie or current comics against the 1984 tv show Masters of the Universe. I'm thinking of each character being as awesome as they would be if used in a storyline today.

That being said, this battle is a tough one. I really like both characters. They're both strong, have enchanged weapons, and can take a lot of damage. End the end, Thor can fly and He-Man can't. That might be enough to give him the edge. It's a fight I would love to see though!

To play it out...He-Man and Thor could battle it out for days but at some point Thor has enough, throws his hammer straight up, dragging himself high into the sky. He conjures up a huge thunderstorm and send bolt after bolt of lightning at He-Man. He-Man might block a few with his sword, but some would hit their mark. Then Thor would come diving down hammer-first and take He-Man out with a mighty hit that can be felt all the way across Eternia.

Years ago I read a "10 Most Powerful Heroes" article in Wizard Magazine. They listed Thor just above Superman and justified it saying that it's all in the name. "God of Thunder" vs "Man of Steel". Same goes here against the "Most Powerful Man in the Universe". Sorry He-Man.
